Assistive Technology 'Best Practices' Conference      April 3 - 5, 2003

Information for Presenters
(Applications from presenters still being accepted until January 31st., 2003)

Procedure

The following should form part of the proposal submission:

Abstract:  A 300 – 500 word abstract (to be reviewed by the conference committee)

Summary:  A 100 word summary which will be used in the conference program to describe your session. It should state the presentation scope and highlight concrete examples. It should accurately represent the presentation to be given.

Proposal Form:  Only those applications with fully completed forms will be considered. The form, abstract and summary must be submitted by 5:00 P.M. AST on December 20, 2002. If there is more than one presenter for your session, you must designate one person to be the leader, however, we must have contact information for each presenter.

Confirmation

Confirmation of acceptance of your presentation proposal will be mailed (or emailed, as requested) by the 2nd week of February , 2003.

Confirmation of specific date, time and location of your presentation will be mailed/emailed by the second week of March, 2003. It is expressly understood that the presentation may be scheduled at any time during the conference at the discretion of the conference organizers.

Presenters will be expected to provide handouts at the conference and handouts must be made available for posting to the conference website.

Selected manuscripts from conference presenters will be published on the conference website. Guidelines for submission of these manuscripts will be sent out upon confirmation of presentation acceptance.

Registration

Standard Registration:  $300pp (includes Keynote, workshops, roundtables and meals) if received on/or before March 3, 2003.

$350pp if received after March 14, 2003.

Presenter Registration:  $175/pp (includes Keynote, workshops, roundtables and meals) if received on/or before March 3, 2003.

$225/pp if received after March 14, 2003

* Presenters do not have to register for conference to present, however, only those presenters who have registered can attend sessions/exhibits other than their own.

Submission

Submission will be accepted by e-mail.

Hand-written submissions will not be accepted.

The deadline for all submissions is 5:00 p.m. AST on December 20, 2002.
